A fine quality Georgian period tea caddy. The caddy is in mahogany with two oval panels of bur yew these are surrounded by beautifully intricate inlays in boxwood. The interior lid also has a panel of bur yew and cross banding in kingwood. The whole is in great condition with a lovely patina and colour and a working key. A unusual and early tea caddy. C.1780.
