Georgian Oak & Mahogany Candle Box

Description

Mid 18th century George III oak and mahogany hanging candle box. The sides of the box are cross banded in mahogany at the front and the front of the box has mahogany strips to either side. The lid has what looks like its original leather hinge which is nice. The top part is nicely shaped with an upside down heart shaped hanging hole. The lid with simple moulded edge. Some old chips around the hanging hole otherwise pretty good for age and a nice colour.
