Description

This wonderful box is adorned on all sides with the most adorable cherub or putti figures, which is what obviously makes this one stand out from similar examples.

The box is heavy and solid, created from cast brass with a most decorative hinged lock (alas, no key) and lined with the original vibrant coloured velvet.

The underside has a simple makers signature, punched with the letter "R".

Dating to around 1880, this highly decorative and sought-after antique box is sure to please and in magnificent condition. Measurements: 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 2 1/4".
