Description

A very distinguished leather hat box by AJ White, Hatter, 74 Jeremy’s Street.

Contains full fittings and two top hats. Both by Locke &Co.

Grey hat is fair condition. Black hat in poor condition.

Initialled MEWP, 17th Lancers.

Major Maurice Edward Weston Pope, 1879-1945, was a wealthy gentleman with properties including Achwicke Hall near Bath and 54 South Street, Park Lane.

He was a keen sportsman and hunted with the Beaufort. He was a member of Boodles.
