Late Regency Fitted Calamander Vanity Box

19th century
Description

Fine quality late Regency calamander veneered toilet box in complete condition. The box has brass rounded corners, brass line inlays, nice shape flush inlaid brass side handles and nicely inlaid top. The inside is fitted in purple leather and has a lift out tray to the front with all the original cut glass bottles with silver plated tops. All the bottles has a lovely star cutting to the bases. Behind the tray there are three large original rectangular bottles with silver plated tops, again they have the star cutting to the base.

The box has its original patented Bramah lock which has the original key and is in full working order.

The inner lid of the box has a crushed velvet facing with a letter holder behind.

The box is in very good original condition with no damage or repairs.
