A late 19th century Chinese carved ivory chess set of red and white figural pieces, the king 11 cms contained in a folding black lacquered papier mache box decorated in gilt, the inner with a backgammon board

Depth (closed) 25 cms

The chess pieces tallest 11 cms

Condition

The box has various knocks and so do the chess set, please see photos, and please don’t hesitate to ring for a full report if required, there are too many tiny faults to list here.
