Antique French Hand Painted and Gilded Jewellery Box

Description

This is a very attractive French hand painted and gilded box which dates from around 1900. The box is the most wonderful cobalt blue colour, it. is carved to the top with a classical design and has red and gilded highlights. Another beautiful thing about this jewellery box is the interior which is a soft red water marked silk. This is in good condition and measures 24 cms long 12 cms wide and 5 cms high.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
