To the sides are two recessed military-style handles.
It opens to reveal the original gilt-tooled leather writing surface with pair of gilt-topped inkwells and the solid kingwood pen tray. The interior includes an inner tray, with pierced handles, which when removed allows access to the two secret drawers. A lovely writing box of highest quality. 15ins wide; 10ins deep 5.5ins high.
