A particularly good example of a Regency period, rosewood tea caddy. The caddy is of typical sarcophagus shape and is veneer in exceptionally well figured rosewood. The caddy stands on bun feet and the whole has a good colour and patina. The interior is in excellent original condition with two fitted compartments for tea and a glass mixing bowl. The caddy is a very good example of it''s type with a working key. C.1820.
