A 19th century copper work replica of a 13th century Limoges chasse or reliquary casket decorated with characteristic champlevé enamel depicting biblical scenes to include the crucifixion, with further saints etc, in the form of a small church with scrolling frieze below a hinged lid and bracket supports, measuring

Height 17 cm high

Width 15 cm wide.

Condition

Age related wear, the damask silk inside is loose, the cross on the top of the box has been slightly bent, otherwise in good order.
