Description

This is a fantastic, really charming Persian lacquered casket with attractive hand painted detail and the most beautiful brasswork embellishment. The casket has an interesting pyramidal shape to the hinged lid which opens revealing an internal compartment that is equally decorated. The brass detail has a distinctive eastern temple styling and has a delightful richness of colour. The box is in really super order and dates from around 1850. It stands 22 cms high and is 32 cms wide.
