Description

A good quality 19th.century Anglo Indian brass bound camphor wood campaign writing box. As the drawer opens the tambour top rolls back simultaneously to reveal a rising section with various pigeon holes and compartments. The sloping fall opens to a fitted interior with pen tray, lidded and open compartments and a circular straight edge which when removed offers up a small hole which when pressed releases a sprung cover and reveals 2 secret drawers. The fold out hinged writing slope with replaced hand dyed brown leather with gold and blind tooling. This unusual piece of campaign furniture has working lock and key and is offered here at a great price. Dimensions :- Height…8.5’’/ 21.5cm. Width…17’’/ 43cm. Depth…15’’/ 38cm. Open Depth…22.75’’/ 58cm.
