Description

late 19th century French cast metal needle/trinket box

of oval form with hinged lid. Decorated with deep relief panels of a hunting scene, tavern exterior and ruins, the lid detailing revelling figures with a musician, on pierced scrolling acanthus feet. Stamped 'T&E Paris' to underside. 7x 8 x 7 cms

Condition

The hinge and seam at the back of the box, have had some old repairs done, would require re doing if the box was used regularly.
