A fine quality William IVth period fitted GENTLEMANS DRESSING CASE.

The good mahogany case is bound in brass and opens to reveal an interior fitted with 14 hallmarked silver-topped bottles and jars, all engraved with an original crest of a seated hound. These items include: set of four scent bottles (all numbered to the silver lids and engraved to the glass); various other bottles and jars plus a silver shaving brush.

Below is a fitted compartment with original brushes and lidded compartment. Hallmarked for London 1839. 13ins wide; 9ins deep; 6ins high. (33x23x15cms)
