Description

A very fine burr walnut LADY'S WRITING BOX by Betjmann.

Stunningly veneered in finest figured burr walnut, this lovely original writing box is bound in ornate 'Gothic' gilt brass mounts. It opens to reveal the original tooled green velvet writing surface and is complete with its original pair of ink bottles with ormolu tops and Gothic ormolu mounted compartment lids. The interior is lined in finest satinwood and it measures 12.5ins (31.75cms) wide.
