Description

A good quality brass bound and inlaid writing slope with sunken brass carrying handles and an engraved central cartouche. The box opens to reveal a replaced black hand dyed leather writing surface with gold and blind tooling. The falls lift for storage of stationary, letters etc. and there are 3 lidded compartments for pens, paper clips or stamps and 2 sunken wells for ink pots. To the left is a small brass rod which when removed allows the side drawer to be opened. In excellent condition with working lock and keys. Size:- Height...7.25''/18.5cm. Width...18''/ 46cm. Depth...9.5''/ 24cm. Open...19.25''/ 49cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £22.
