Michael Johnson Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
A beautiful example of the Tunbridge ware design and van dyke tumbling. With a variation of woods combined together to create a attractive piece. It's been cross banded in a mixture of burr yew, boxwood and seycomore wood. The box is in great all round condition. The interior comprises of a tray which lifts out to reveal more storage space. Has a bottom draw which has dividers perfectly made for Jewellery. Has two separate locks, one for the main section and the other for the bottom draw. Both keys work. Dates back to the Victorian period, c.1860.
