Beautiful French Walnut & Tulipwood Card Box

Description

Beautiful 19th century French card box. Ebonised base, the box veneered mainly in figured walnut with tulipwood cross banding. The top inlaid with the four types of cards and a horse shoe for luck in the middle. The box has a lift off lid and is divided inside for two packs of cards and probably counters. It comes complete with two packs of up-opened old cards inside.

Would make a great Christmas present.
