Interesting Regency Mahogany Jewellery box. The box stands on the original giltmetal ball feet and features a lift up lid and single drawer. The piece is line inlaid with box wood, the escutcheons are also box, the front is inlaid with ebony to indicate drawers. The interior is original and quite plain but lined with the most beautiful original lining paper. The locks to both drawer and lid are working. The whole is in very good untouched condition and a plain and elegant little piece of Regency furniture. C.1810.
