A lovely quality simple and elegant Georgian tea caddy in satinwood. The caddy is of plain oblong shape with a crossbanding of multiple layers of kingwood, box and ebony. The satinwood is of the best figuring and colour and the box retains the original silver plate handle. The interior is superb with two canisters in satinwood with the intricate crossbanding and it has a centre apperture with glass mixing bowl. The whole caddy is in wonderful original condition with a great patina and is a fine example of a Georgian country house tea caddy. C.1800.
