Georgian Single Lid Tea Caddy C.1790

Description

An absolutely superb example of a Georgian Tea Caddy. An early unique piece that is a real collectors caddy. The main exterior wood is satinwood and its been cross banded in a mix of rosewood and boxwood with a ebony inlay around the edging. Inlaid flowers around the box made from a variation of sycamore wood, boxwood and kingwood. This box is immaculate and dates to the Georgian period, c.1790. The interior is all original. Single lid made from satinwood with a small brass handle in the centre. Comes with fully functioning lock and key.
