Description

A very good quality 19th .C. figured mahogany brass bound campaign writing slope. There is a drawer to the base which is released by a brass bolt from the inside. The box also has a book rest which has a brass adjustable support. The writing surface has been replaced with a hand dyed black leather which has gold and blind tooling. The 2 falls lift to reveal storage areas for letters and stationary etc.. The original brass and glass ink pots are still in place and there is a scalloped ebonised pen tray and a paper clip/stamp slope compartment. With working lock and keys.Sizes:- Height...7''/ 18cm.
