Description

A lovely early piece made from Satin Wood. This has a real iconic design from this early period. It has a slightly domed lid and inlaid panels all around the box which various types of woods. The back panels are made from kingwood, the side panels are made from amboyna, the front panels made from burr yew and the top made from satinwood. It has a new lining inside and two compartments for letters etc. This box dates back to c.1790.
