Description

A good quality and unusual figured mahogany Regency tea caddy of sarcophagus form. Inlaid and cross banded with tulip wood and boxwood stringing. The interior with an unusual secret compartment hidden within the lid, which is accessed by concealed sliding catch (possibly for silver caddy spoon). The removable canisters with typical silver paper linings and hinged lids. In excellent condition with the original cornucopia brass ring handles and escutcheon with working lock and key. Size:- Width...13.25''/33.5cm Depth...6''/15.3cm. Height...8''/20cm. Free delivery to most of U.K.
