Fine Anglo Indian Box with Painted Ivory Placque

Description

Fine quality 19th century Anglo Indian carved wood box with painted ivory placque to the top. The box is beautifully carved all over in great detail. The top has an oval glass panel with a wonderful painted ivory placque beneath depicting various Indian temples and palaces in great detail.

The box opens up to reveal silver plated hinges, lock and corner brackets. The inside of the lid has hand written labels in ink telling you what is painted on the outside.

Very good clean condition.

SIZE; 7" wide by 6" deep by 3" high
