Georgian Mahogany Knife Box C1800

Description

This GEORGIAN MAHOGANY KNIFE BOX dates from circa 1800.

The BOX has a deep serpentine front, diamond-shaped escutcheon and decorative inlay to the inside of the lid.

During its lifetime, the fitted cutlery section has been removed.

There are some old repairs and some signs of wear. As can be seen from the photographs he patination has richness.

Height: 13 inches (33 cm)

Width: 8.75 inches (22.5 cm)
