George III Mahogany Decanter Box. Complete. Circa; 1800

Description

Very nice early 19th century George III mahogany decanter box in complete and original condition. The box itself has been veneered using very nice grain mahogany and it retains its original fancy mould, original ivory turned knobs and original feet.

The inside is beautifully fitted with all six of the original square decanters with gilded decoration and both the original glasses inside the lid with matching gilded decoration. The stopper on one of the decanters has been slightly ground at one time and there are minute chips to others but basically this is in wonderful condition for its age.

One of the nicest of this type I have seen.

SIZE; 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" by 11" high
