Late 18th Century Satinwood "Navette" Shaped Caddy

Description

An impressive late 18th/early 19th inlaid satinwood TEA CADDY of "navette" shape. Beautifully inlaid with navette-shaped panels of flowers, leaves and a wonderful butterfly to the lid on a background of green-stained harewood, it is further inlaid with chequer stringing and tulipwood cross banding. The interior retains its original inner lid and some of the original lead lining
