18th Century Satinwood Inlaid Oval Tea Caddy

Description

A fine quality late 18th century satinwood oval TEA CADDY in good original condition.

The outside is veneered in finely figured satinwood with green-stained hardwood 'faux' columns flanking an oval panel of burr yew-wood below the ivory escutcheon whilst the lid is inlaid with a lovely cross-banded oval panel of flowers. This good caddy retains virtually all of its original lead lining and it is in excellent condition.
