An absolutely divine piece which was originally a knife box but has been converted into a stationary box. The exterior wood in flamed mahogany which gives out a lovely swirling grain to the wood. It's been inlaid with the period shell on the lid and the star in the inner side of the lid. Has the overlaid brass hinges on the outside and comes with fully functioning lock and key. All in immaculate condition considering its age, 1800.
