Sheraton Period Inlaid Yew-wood Tea Caddy

Description

A pretty early 19th century Sheraton period Yew-wood TEA CADDY in excellent original condition.

Broadly speaking of cube shape, with a domed lid, it is veneered in well-figured burr yew-wood, inlaid to the lid and front with oval marquetry panels of flowers and leaves, within multiple string inlay of boxwood and harewood. The interior retains its good original lead lining and is complete with key.
