Well Fitted Lady's Dressing & Jewellery Box

Description

A good quality mid-Victorian fitted LADY'S DRESSING & JEWELLERY CASE in excellent condition.

The beautifully-figured coromandel-wood case is bound in brass and opens to reveal the full set of eleven engraved silvered mounted bottles and jars including three scent bottles. To the centre is the tray of various implements and tools and the whole tray lifts out to reveal a set of three ivory-back bristle brushes below.

Within the lid is a concealed mirror, whilst there is finely fitted jewellery drawer within the base. Complete with original working Bramah key. The silver is hallmarked for London 1868.
