George III Marquetry Inlaid Oval Tea Caddy

Description

A good late 18th century George III period oval TEA CADDY in fine original condition.

Veneered overall in sycamore (known as 'harewood') the lid is inlaid with a marquetry oval panel of a cornucopia of flowers and leaves, whilst the front is inlaid with two matching ovals of vases of flowers.

The interior retains its inner lid with the original lead lining intact, whilst the hinge and lock are also completely original.
