Rare George III Paper Scroll Tea Caddy. 1770

Description

RARE 18th century George III paper scroll tea caddy in good un-touched original condition. Nice boat shape. The box has a boxwood and ebony string inlay all round and has the original brass handle to the top. Original lock and key with nice shape ivory escution.

The inside has the original pine lid with brass knob.

99% of the paper is intact and original and its has its original gilded and painted finish. I think it could benefit from a slight clean by a professional as that would bring out some of the original decoration a we bit better.
