19th Century Burr Walnut Writing Box/slope

Description

superb quality burr walnut laptop writing slope. The rectangular box opens to reveal a slope with a leather scriber, having a coromandel surround, pen rest and nib slope. The outer edge is lined in boxwood. Complete with original working lock and ing key. (The leather sriber has been replaced).

c. 1860.
