Here we have a very nice 18th century George III mahogany and brass bound military campaign decanter box. The box is made from mahogany and is fully brass bound on all sides and the top. The box retains its original brass carrying handles to the sides.

Inside the box is fully fitted with all its original square decanters plus there is a large lead foil lined box to the centre with sliding lid which I presume was for tea. The square glass decanters are two different sizes with the smaller ones housed to the front. The flaws in the glass on these decanters are superb and they all have their original stoppers, sadly one has a piece off the neck as can be seen in the photos.

The box is basically in very good condition, the only thing worth mentioning is there is a tight hairline crack to the top.

The centre brass placque to the top bears the name of GROVE WHITE. The family of Grove White's were from Southern Ireland and had a long association with the military.
