Georgian Mahogany Knife Box, Complete & Original

Description

Nice neat size early 19th century George III mahogany knife box in complete and original condition. Nice shape body with boxwood line inlay to all the edges and cock beading to the bottom and middle.

Original brass hinges to the lid. Brass handle is probably an old replacement.

The inside is completely originally fitted which is nice. The inside of the lid is also nicely inlaid with a star.

A couple of small old filled cracks to the curved front otherwise pretty good condition for age.

SIZE; 8" wide by 8" deep at the widest point by 12" high
