Antique Victorian Walnut Writing Slope

This Superb Antique Victorian Walnut Writing Slope circa, 1870 has been constructed from beautifully figured walnut with brass plaque and corner brackets. The interior comprises of an early, possibly original tooled leather writing insert, removable pen tray and secret compartment with three hidden drawers. The walnut has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Approximate dimensions are:

Height:19cm / 7.5 inches

Width:45cm / 18 inches

Depth:25cm / 10 inches
