Fine Regency Brass Inlaid Rosewood Jewel Box

Description

Very nice Regency period brass inlaid rosewood jewelry box in very good original condition. All the original brass inlay with no repairs, original rosewood side handles and turned, knurled decoration. Very nice original carved rosewood feet.

The inside in good original condition with yellow paper lining and dovetailed mahogany lift out tray. The inside of the lid with matching yellow crushed fabric centre surrounded by tooled leather border which folds down.

One small section of knurling has been replaced at some time otherwise as it was made.

Good original finish throughout.
