This beautiful box, with its slightly domed top, is finely inlaid with piquet work, and opens to reveal the full set of original sewing implements and tools which include: silver gilt or gilt metal scissors and case; ornate penknife; stiletto; Samson Morden pencil; tweezers; bodkin; tape measure and thimble. Pristine condition apart from a little damage to the silk lining under the lid (shown above). 6ins wide; 4ins deep. (15.25 x 10cms)
