Description

An unusual early 19th century mahogany money box in the form of a chiffonier. Slot to the back for coins and to retrieve the money the front pushes open, originally there would have been a wooden peg inside to pull out first before opening, but the front closes firmly and doesn't swing open.

Shaped front, really well made, a good quality piece.

Lovely shaped back with kite shaped inlay to back.

It measures 18.5cm at its highest point, width is 13.5cm.
