A Large Fully-fitted Lady's Dressing & Jewellery Box

Description

A very fine, large and complete LADY'S DRESSING & JEWELLERY BOX in very good condition, by West of Regent St. LONDON.

The box itself is in ebony with brass edges; the lid opens to reveal a superb array of silver-topped bottles and jars together with a tray full of original tools and implements.

This lifts out to reveal a further tray, also full of original tools which include: 2 prs of scissors; a silver pen/pencil; thimble; tape measure; medicine spoon and much more. Further below is a fitted jewellery drawer, whilst within the lid is an easel mirror and an additional oval hand mirror.

The silver is hallmarked for London 1871/1872 and all the cut-glass bottles and jars are in mint condition.
