Fine George III Mahogany Tea Caddy. Complete

Description

FINE George III mahogany and inlaid tea caddy, probably Scottish in complete and original condition. Beautifully veneered on the outside with the best of mahogany with very nice fancy boxwood, ebony and kingwood banding to the edges all round.

Original lock and ivory escution. The colour and patination on the outside is superb.

The inside has both the original lift out wooden tea canisters which are foil lined inside. The canisters have a beaded top edge with original sliding lids which have a boxwood stringing. The inside of the lid is also beautifully veneered in mahogany also with boxwood stringing.

A very nice un-touched Georgian Scottish tea caddy.

SIZE; 8" long by 5 1/4" wide by 5" high
