Walnut Tea Caddy C.1870.

Description

Impressive mid 19th.c. brass mounted burr walnut tea caddy c.1870. Designed for the storage and blending of varieties, it features two removable wooden canisters with hinged lids and a mixing bowl. Good shape with an arched top and flared base, well figured burr walnut veneers and pierced brass mounts to the front, lid and rear. Excellent condition retaining the original velvet lining, lock and turned bun feet. The mixing bowl would appear to be a later replacement.

Dimensions:width 13", depth 8", height 9".
