A Very Good Coromandel Decanter Box

Description

A particularly impressive, large and very fine quality mid-late 19th century DECANTER BOX in superb original condition.

Of the many we have stocked over the years, this must rate as the finest quality ~ and certainly the heaviest! The beautifully-figured coromandel-wood box is inlaid and edged with brass, and opens to reveal the full set of four original glass decanters and stoppers, whilst within the lid is the set of four matching small glasses.

Lined in navy blue leather to the base and purple velvet to the lid, this is exceptional, and features fine ornate military-style countersunk brass handles to both sides. 25.5cms high; 25cms deep; 24.5cms wide
