Regency Period Rosewood And Brass Inlaid Lady's Vanity Case

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: John Hubbard Antiques

A top quality Regency period rosewood and inlaid lady''s vanity case with original fittings, secret drawer, brass inlay and signed Edwards, makers to The King, London. Bramah lock.

This is an exceptional piece, both in terms of its quality and its extraordinary original, unrestored condition. The images really don''t do this box justice - in fact they actually make it look dusty and somewhat tatty. The reality is that the condition is simply stunning, and gives the impression that it has never been used. The silver tops are all pristine, as is all the glassware. The only possible criticism is that a couple of the manicure pieces are missing, as is the key.

This piece will make a superb gift and become a wonderful family heirloom.

Size: 12.1/2'' x 9'' x 5.3/4''
