A Gorgeous Victorian Fitted Jewellery Box

Description

A well-figured coromandel-wood LADY'S JEWELLERY BOX in particularly good original condition.

It is always difficult to find good original jewellery boxes ~ this is a splendid and quite large example, complete with its original Bramah lock and key. The well-figured lid opens to reveal the fitted interior, lined with purple silk velvet, whilst the central section (fitted for rings and a watch) may be lifted out to reveal a further compartment below. 15ins x 8.5ins (38 x 21cms). This is good.
