Regency Brass-inlaid Casket

Description

A good quality English Regency period rosewood CASKET in excellent condition.

This typical Regency period box is profusely inlaid with ornate brass scrollwork to the lid and front, with "reel-and-dart" moulding around the lid; the tablet to the centre of it and around the base. It is supported on brass ball feet and features cast brass "Lion's mask" handles to each side.

The interior is vacant but retains its original purple velvet lining. 13ins wide; 10ins deep. (33 x 25.4cms)
