Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this lovely Chinese Cantonese ivory mounted and embroidered fan complete with its original lacquer box.

The fan itself has eighteen finely pierced and two carved outer ivory sticks holding the superbly detailed hand embroidered fan , the subject is birds and butterflies flying amongst brightly coloured foliage.

The condition of the fan is superb , there is a musty type smell like moth balls when you open the box , this i believe is the reason the fan has stayed in such lovely original condition, no damage whatsoever to the embroidery or the ivory , age related wear to the box .
