What makes this a very special example is the wonderful central picture of a Leopard, unusual and highly desirable. These works of art were made in British India around 1870 in the Vizagapatam region.

The box stands on it's four original carved paw feet. The box retains the original lock hinges and escutcheon, the lock is not working due to the pin missing. The interior retains it's wonderful original velvet interior.
A very special example in excellent condition. The footprint measures 9" x 7" the lid measures 8" x 6" x 3" tall.
